Membership Information

Membership in ACCA is open to persons holding a master's degree in counseling or closely-related field and students enrolled half-time or more in graduate counseling programs. Since ACCA is a division of the * American Counseling Association , unified membership with that organization is available, but is not required. Unified Membership members are eligible to vote on ACCA matters and hold office in the Association.

Unified Membership:
ACA membership benefits PLUS subscriptions to the Journal of College Counseling & Visions (ACCA newsletter), professional representation and opportunities, continuing education, access to members-only section of ACCA WebSite, ACCA voting rights.

  • Professional Member: joint ACCA & ACA membership. $40 plus current ACA professional/regular dues
  • Student Member: joint ACCA & ACA membership. $30 plus current ACA professional/regular dues.

ACCA only Membership:
Subscriptions to the Journal of College Counseling & Visions (ACCA newsletter), professional representation and opportunities, continuing education, access to members-only section of ACCA WebSite

  • Regular Member: ACCA membership ($40) plus processing fee ($10) = $50

To Join ACCA:
To become a member of the American College Counseling Association (ACCA) do one of the following options:

  1. Join online by going to the American Counseling Association website, fill out the contact information, choose a login and password, and then hit Continue. Select a membership type then the option NOT to join ACA. You must check this box. Continue again and select ACCA as a Division
  2. Print and mail membership application (pdf)
