Benefits of Membership
ACCA-L , the listserv of the American College Counseling
Association, is an active electronic mail list regularly used by
over 400 members for discussion of professional issues, information
exchange, and support related to counseling in higher education

The Journal of College Counseling (JCC) is published twice a year by the Association, in Spring and Fall. The JCC emphasizes articles on research, professional issues, and innovative practices in college counseling. Sample titles from a recent issue include:

- "Documentation of Emotional and Mental Disabilities: The Role of the Counseling Center"

Visions is the quarterly newsletter of the Association. Visions carries a range of articles on diverse topics of interest to college counselors and provides updates on ACCA business, opportunities, and activities. The current editor of Visions is Dr.Melanie Bullock
Members can use the ACCA website to learn about
grants and awards, publication updates, continuing education opportunities,
and Association news.
Professional Representation is a major benefit of membership in the American College Counseling Association. ACCA leadership works with various accrediting boards and other counseling organizations to advocate for the college counseling profession.
Grants and Awards are offered by ACCA to its members to support research and provide continuing education opportunities.
Professional Leadership Opportunities are another
benefit of Association membership. There are leadership opportunities
on both state and national levels.
Continuing Education Opportunities are offered by the Association, including special programs at the annual convention of the American Counseling Association and state division conferences.
National Conferences are held every every two years.
