Community College Counseling CommitteeWelcome Community College and 2 Year College Counselors! We are excited to represent you on the ACCA Community College Counseling Committee! Because we know that counseling in a community college or 2 year college setting is a bit different from that of university or 4 year college, the Community College Counseling Committee was conceptualized to address these issues. The intent initially was to provide professional development opportunities at our conferences that are specific to the differences in our job duties. We have evolved over the years to include a survey of community and 2 year college counselors, a social media presence on our American College Counseling Association - ACCA Facebook page, and gatherings that allow us to share ideas and connect with one another. To coin a phrase, we’ve come a long way, baby! Please feel free to contact either of us should you have questions or need more information regarding community college or 2 year college counseling. We are always happy to keep the discussion going. In addition, if you would like to serve on the Community College Counseling Committee, please let us know. We can always use more ACCA members who are interested in what we do! We look forward to all that we can create together!
